The discussion view

The discussion view brings one discussion together on a single screen: the transcript on one side, the AI-generated results on the other. Everything you record, upload, or generate for this discussion is shown and managed here.

The transcript pane

The transcript shows the discussion as segments, each with a speaker, a timestamp, and the spoken text. During a live recording, new segments appear at the bottom as people speak. If the discussion was held in another language, switch between Source and Translated above the transcript — see Translation and multilingual discussions.

Listen to the recording

If audio retention was enabled for the discussion, you can play back what was said. Each segment has a Play segment audio control, and Listen to recording plays the whole discussion from the top. Playback is only available once recording has finished — while a live recording is in progress, these controls are disabled.

Rename the discussion

Click the discussion title at the top of the page — the tooltip Click to rename confirms you are in the right place. Type the new name and press Enter; the new title appears immediately, everywhere the discussion is listed.

Download the transcript

In the header, the Download transcript button saves the transcript as a file, so you can archive it or share it outside the platform.

The panel on the right

The narrow panel at the right edge has two entries: Insights and Settings. Insights opens the live analysis of the discussion — key phrases, sentiment, and speaking shares (see Insights: what the analysis shows). Click Hide panel when you need the full width for reading.

Switch the layout

The layout switcher in the header controls how the screen is divided:

• Transcript only — full width for reading the conversation.
• Artifact only — full width for documents and dashboards on the canvas.
• Split view — transcript and canvas side by side; Switch to horizontal split and Switch to vertical split change the arrangement.

On narrow screens, split view is not offered — pick one of the two full-width modes instead.

Start over

To empty a discussion and begin again, use Clear data (Clear uploaded data and start fresh). It removes the transcript segments, the dashboard artifacts, and the insights, leaving a clean slate to re-record or re-upload into. A separate delete dialog lets you choose Keep data or Delete data — and there, any retained audio recordings are removed as well.
