Co-Pilot answers look wrong or incomplete

Most wrong or thin Co-Pilot answers come down to scope or timing: the chat is looking at the wrong discussions, or a discussion is not fully processed yet. Both take under a minute to fix.

The answer has no source references. The Co-Pilot can only cite discussions it can actually use. Two common causes:

• The scope misses the right discussions. Below the message box, click the scope chip. In the Working scope menu, pick a wider level such as This project — or, if the menu shows browse lists instead of levels, choose a project and click Use project. Pick a narrower level such as This discussion if the answer drowned in material. Then ask again. See Scopes: what the Co-Pilot can see for both menu shapes.
• The discussion is still being processed. A freshly recorded or uploaded discussion cannot be cited until processing finishes — see How long does processing take?.

You know it worked when the new answer includes source references again.

The answer is about the wrong project or discussion. Check the scope chip below the message box — it names what the Co-Pilot is currently looking at. Open it, choose the right project or discussion, and ask your question again. You know it worked when the chat confirms the scope change and the answer draws on the right content.

The response stopped part-way or ended with an error. Send the request again: click your last message, adjust it if needed, and resend it — the Co-Pilot re-runs the request. You know it worked when a complete answer arrives. If it fails repeatedly, start clean: below the message box, click +, then New task for this scope.
