Review AI edits before they land

Accept or reject every change the AI makes to a document, individually or all at once.

When the AI edits a document, nothing becomes final until you approve it: every change appears highlighted in the text, word by word — deletions in red, insertions in green. A bar at the top of the document counts the open changes, and you decide what stays.

Review a change

  1. Ask for an edit — in the chat, or with an AI button above the document such as Simplify.
  2. Wait for the AI to finish. A bar appears at the top of the document showing the number of changes to review.
  3. To judge changes one by one: click a highlighted passage.
  4. In the small popup, click Accept or Reject.
  5. To settle the rest in one go: in the bar at the top, click Accept All or Reject All.
  6. The highlights disappear and the document status shows Saved — the text you approved is now the document.

Good to know

  • The review waits for you. If you close the document mid-review, the highlights are still there the next time you open it.
  • Rejecting a change restores exactly the words that were there before. The rest of the document is untouched.
  • Accepted too much? Open Version history in the document toolbar — a snapshot from just before the AI edit is kept there. See Version history.
