Notification settings
What each notification switch does, and how to read and clear the notification bell.
Four switches under your personal settings decide what appears in the notification bell. At the bottom of the sidebar, click your name, select Settings, then open Notifications under Personal. Changes apply immediately, and they are stored per browser — set them again on a second device if you want the same behaviour there.
The four switches
| Switch | What it does |
|---|---|
| In-app notifications | "Show notifications inside the app as they happen." This is the master switch: turn it off and none of the notifications below appear either. |
| Upload completed | "Get notified when a file upload finishes processing." Lets you start something else and come back when a recording or file is ready. |
| Upload failed | "Get notified when a file upload fails." You find out right away instead of discovering a missing transcript later. |
| Bulk updates | "Receive notifications when bulk operations complete or fail." Covers batches, for example when you upload several files at once. |
Progress notices — such as a running upload or a large selection being prepared — also appear in the bell, even though they have no switch of their own. Only the master switch above silences them.
Notifications only appear inside the app — there are no email alerts to configure here.
The notification bell
The bell sits at the bottom of the sidebar, next to your name. A red dot shows when you have unread notifications. Click the bell to open the Notifications list:
- Mark all read clears the dot without deleting anything.
- Clear removes all entries from the list.
- Many notifications link to the affected page — click the notification itself to jump there.
When the list is empty, it shows "No notifications yet."
