Custom fields and tags
Define project-level fields, tag discussions with them, and filter discussion lists by those tags.
Custom fields let you tag every discussion in a project with your own categories — for example region, topic or language — and filter discussion lists by those tags later. You define fields once per project; they then apply to all of its discussions.
Define a field
- In the sidebar, open the project under Projects.
- On the project page, click Custom Fields to expand the section.
- Click Add field.
- Enter a Display name and pick a Field type: Text, Dropdown, Number or Date.
- For Dropdown, list the Choices separated by commas.
- Click Create field. The field appears in the list and on every discussion in the project.
Already defined the same fields in another project? Click Copy from project instead and pick the source project.
Tag a discussion
In a session's discussion list, each discussion shows the project's fields as tags. Click a field tag (Set value), then pick or type the value — it is saved immediately.
Filter by tags
Wherever you select a project's discussions — for example in the monitoring view — the fields appear as filter chips. Click a chip and pick a value to narrow the list; Clear all filters resets it.
Deleting a field keeps the values already set on discussions, but you can no longer filter by them.
