Share Co-Pilot chats
Make a Co-Pilot chat visible to your whole organisation or keep it private, and know what viewers can do.
Every Co-Pilot chat starts private — only you can see it. Sharing makes the chat visible to everyone in your organisation, as view-only.
A chat has exactly two settings:
- Personal — only you can see the chat.
- Organisation — every member of your organisation can view it.
There is no in-between: you cannot share a chat with individually picked people, and there are no public chat links. To hand someone a single result instead of the whole conversation, share the document or dashboard itself — see Share documents and dashboards by link.
Share a chat
- Open the chat you want to share.
- In the chat header, click Share.
- Select Organisation. The button changes colour to show the chat is shared, and organisation members can now view it.
This works for any chat, whether or not it is attached to a discussion — including a workspace chat you started on its own to look across several discussions.
What viewers can do
Viewers can read the whole conversation. They cannot send messages, so they cannot continue the chat or change anything in it. They see a notice at the top: "This chat is shared with you as view-only. You cannot send messages."
If someone should be able to work with the results, share the underlying project instead — see Share with specific people.
Make a chat private again
- In the chat header, click Share.
- Select Personal. The chat is again visible only to you.
