Insights: what the analysis shows
What the Insights panel tells you about a discussion — key phrases, sentiment, contribution — and when it updates.
The Insights panel is a live summary of a discussion: what is being talked about, in what tone, and who is doing the talking. Open it from the panel at the right edge of the discussion view by clicking Insights.
What you see
- Key phrases — the terms that come up most often, each with its number of mentions. A quick answer to "what was this discussion actually about?"
- Sentiment — the share of segments rated Positive, Neutral, Negative, or Mixed. Hover over a bar to see the exact percentage.
- Contribution — each speaker's word count and share of the conversation. Use this to spot whether a few voices dominate, and to bring quieter participants in while the discussion is still running.
Renamed speakers appear in Contribution under their custom names, so give speakers real names early if you want a readable breakdown.
When it updates
During a live recording, the panel carries a Live badge and refreshes as people speak — key phrases and sentiment shift in real time, so you can react during the discussion rather than after it. Until the first segments are analysed, the panel shows Waiting for data...; that resolves by itself once there is enough transcript to work with.

Keep in mind that sentiment and key phrases are automatic estimates over short text segments. They are good for spotting patterns and imbalances, not a substitute for reading the decisive passages in the transcript itself.
