Record a discussion live

Create a discussion from the sidebar and record it in the discussion view, with the transcript appearing as people speak.

Recording live takes one quick action and two clicks: create the discussion, then press record. You need a working microphone and a stable internet connection — the transcript appears while people speak.

  1. In the sidebar under Quick actions, click Record discussion. The New discussion page opens.
  2. In the Name field, enter a title — for example the topic or the table.
  3. If the conversation will be in a language other than your default, open Advanced settings and set the source languages.
  4. Click Create. The discussion view opens.
  5. If your browser asks for permission to use the microphone, allow it.
  6. Click Record. The live transcript appears as people speak.
  7. When the conversation ends, click Stop — the transcript stays in the discussion, and the remaining analysis finishes on its own.

New discussions start as personal, so only you can see them. To share one with colleagues, pick a different visibility on the form before you click Create — see visibility levels.

Pause and stop

While recording you can pause and pick up again without ending the session. Click Pause to hold the recording; the button becomes Resume to continue.

When you click Stop, deliberAIde asks Stop recording? and offers three choices: Save and stop keeps what was captured and ends the recording, Discard throws the segment away, and Continue recording returns you to the live session.

If you press Record again on a discussion that already has content, deliberAIde shows Existing content found: choose Continue session to add to what's already there, or Start fresh to begin again.

Recording at an in-person event? Place the device well before you press record: one device per group, in the middle of the table. See Audio and device setup for in-person events.
