Every term you meet in deliberAIde, each explained in one or two lines — from Agent mode to Working scope.
This page defines every term you meet in deliberAIde, in alphabetical order. If you only remember one thing: your work is organised in four levels — project → event → session → discussion, from largest to smallest. Everything else builds on those.
| Term | What it is |

| Agent mode | The Co-Pilot's default way of working: it carries out your request right away and shows each step as it goes. Switch modes with the mode button below the message box — see Agent mode and Plan mode. |
| Anonymization | Replaces names and other personal details with placeholders during processing, before a transcript appears in your workspace. It is on by default — see How anonymisation works for you. |
| Artifact | Anything the Co-Pilot creates for you on the canvas: documents, dashboards, plans and images. Each artifact keeps its own versions and provenance. |
| Audio retention | A privacy setting that decides whether the source audio is kept after processing so you can play it back — with it off, the audio is discarded. See Organisation-wide defaults. |
| Canvas | The work surface where artifacts open next to the chat — read, edit, compare versions and publish there. See The canvas. |
| Citation | The numbered link from a sentence in an answer or document back to the exact place in the transcript — click it to check the source yourself. See Citations. |
| Contribution | A single statement by one speaker — the smallest unit that answers, citations and analyses point back to. |
| Co-Pilot | The built-in AI assistant: ask it about your recorded discussions and it answers with citations, drafts artifacts, and can even set up whole project structures. See Meet your Co-Pilot. |
| Dashboard | A live, filterable overview of everything said in one or more discussions: each statement becomes a card you can group by theme, tag and rate. See Dashboards. |
| Discussion | One real conversation with its transcript: a recording, an upload or a guest submission. |
| Document | A text artifact the Co-Pilot drafts from your discussions — every claim carries a citation back to a contribution. See Cited documents. |
| Event | One occasion within a project, for example a forum evening or a workshop day. |
| Evidence | The contributions that back a claim. Click a citation to open the evidence and judge the support yourself. |
| Graphic recording | A visual summary image of your discussions — workflows such as Full Discussion Analysis produce one alongside a dashboard and a summary document. |
| Guest recording | A recording a participant makes on their own device via an invite link — no account needed. It arrives in your workspace as a discussion. |
| Image | A generated picture saved as an artifact; every revision is kept as its own version. See Generated images. |
| Insights | The live summary panel in the discussion view: key phrases, sentiment and who is doing the talking, updating while the discussion runs. See Insights. |
| Invite link | A link that lets participants record or submit without an account. You control how long it works and can regenerate it at any time — see Invite participants. |
| Library | Your collection of reusable helpers in the + menu below the message box: Prompts, Templates, Workflows and Skills. See Prompts, skills, templates and workflows. |
| Notifications | The bell in the sidebar: it collects updates such as shared items and finished work. What appears there is up to you — see Notification settings. |
| Plan | An artifact that pairs a plan document with a task list — the Co-Pilot creates one when a discussion produces concrete next steps, and you tick tasks off as you complete them. See Plans. |
| Plan mode | The Co-Pilot first proposes a step-by-step plan and starts only after you approve it — the safer choice for large or delicate tasks. See Agent mode and Plan mode. |
| Processing | The phase between a recording or upload and a ready transcript: transcription, anonymization and analysis run in the background while the status shows Processing. See How long does processing take? |
| Project | The overall initiative — everything belonging to one undertaking, for example a citizen dialogue, lives here. |
| Prompt | A saved question or instruction in your library — insert it into the chat instead of retyping your best asks. |
| Provenance | The record every document and dashboard carries: who created it, from which discussions, and with which library item. Click Show details on the artifact — see Where an artifact came from. |
| QR code | A scannable version of an invite link — participants point their phone camera at it to join. You can also print QR handouts for tables — see Print QR handouts. |
| Quick Session | A lightweight session that wraps anything you create with a quick action — record, upload or invite without setting up a project first. See Quick Sessions. |
| Recording health warnings | Banners above the controls during a live recording. Most resolve themselves while the recording keeps running — usually only microphone problems need action from you. See Recording health warnings. |
| Role | What a person may do across your organisation: Owner, Admin, Member or Viewer. See Roles in your organisation. |
| Saved group | A hand-picked set of discussions stored as a reusable working scope — build it once, reuse it in any task. |
| Segment | One block of the transcript: one speaker's turn with its timestamp and text. Playback and processing progress work per segment. |
| Sentiment | The tone the analysis reads from contributions — shown in the Insights panel and on dashboards, and one of the filters you can slice a dashboard by. |
| Session | A block within an event, for example a breakout round — it groups one or more discussions. |
| Setup blueprint | The Co-Pilot's proposal for new projects, events, sessions or discussions. Check it on the Review setup card — nothing is created until you approve. |
| Skill | A library item that teaches the Co-Pilot your method — activate it in the chat and it shapes how the task is carried out. |
| Snapshot | An automatically saved state of a document, taken before every AI action — step back to it any time. See Version history. |
| Speaker label | The name shown on each contribution. Use Rename speaker in the discussion view to replace "Speaker 1" with a real name or role. |
| Tag | A label on a contribution card in a dashboard — apply tags yourself or run Tag to let the AI sort contributions, then filter by them. |
| Tag category | A named group of tags (for example "Costs" or "Participation") that you define under Tag categories — it keeps dashboard tagging consistent. |
| Task | One conversation with the Co-Pilot. The Tasks list in the sidebar keeps them per working scope — start a New task for a new question, or reopen an old one to continue where you left off. |
| Template | A library item with a fixed structure for documents or dashboards — the Co-Pilot fills it with content from your discussions. |
| Theme | A topic the analysis finds across many contributions — it shows you what the conversation was really about. |
| Topic view | The dashboard view that groups contribution cards by theme, so you can read everything said about one topic in one place. |
| Transcript | The written record of a discussion, broken into segments with speaker labels. Answers, citations and dashboards all point back to it. |
| Version | A numbered state of an artifact. Documents and images keep earlier versions so you can compare and restore — see Version history. |
| Visibility | Controls who can see an item: Personal, Shared, Organisation — or Inherit to follow the parent's setting. See Visibility levels. |
| Workflow | A library item that runs a multi-step procedure in one go and can produce several artifacts at once — for example a full discussion analysis. |
| Working scope | What the Co-Pilot reads when it answers you: one discussion, a session, an event, a whole project or a saved group. Set it with the scope chip below the message box — see Scopes. |
