Upload text transcripts

Import existing transcripts — from Zoom, Teams, Google Meet and more — and get the same analysis as an audio recording.

You can upload existing transcripts as JSON, TXT, SRT, VTT, DOCX or PDF files — they get exactly the same analysis as an audio recording, just without the transcription step. deliberAIde auto-detects Zoom and Microsoft Teams exports; Google Meet, Otter.ai and WebEx exports import cleanly via their TXT or VTT files, keeping the speaker names and timestamps.

Upload a transcript

  1. In the sidebar, click Upload discussions.
  2. Under Select files, switch to the Transcript tab.
  3. Drop your files into the marked area, or click it to browse.
  4. Under Speaker labels, choose Keep original names or Use Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc.
  5. Under Name discussions, give each file a name — leave it empty to use the file name.
  6. Click Upload all.
  7. The files appear under In progress; finished files move to Completed, and the notification bell reports each one.

What happens to speaker names?

deliberAIde detects the export format on upload automatically and preserves the speaker turns. With Keep original names the transcript shows the real names — useful for internal meetings where you need to know who said what. With Use Speaker 1, Speaker 2, etc. the names are replaced before analysis. Personal data mentioned in the text itself is anonymised automatically either way.

Same analysis as audio

A transcript upload skips the Converting and Transcribing steps and goes straight to analysis: the search index, the insights and the citations the Co-Pilot uses. If a file is rejected with "Unsupported file format", export it again in one of the formats above — plain TXT always works.
