Invite and manage team members

How to invite colleagues by email, assign or change their role, and remove members from your organisation.

You manage your team under Settings in the "Team" section — this requires the Admin or Owner role. Without it, the Team section does not appear in Settings.

Team members are colleagues who sign in and work on the platform. To let discussion participants record without an account, use an invite link instead — see Invite participants to an event.

Invite someone by email

  1. At the bottom of the sidebar, click your name and select Settings.
  2. In the left column under Organisation, open Team.
  3. Under Invites, enter the person's email address.
  4. Pick a role: Member, Admin or Viewer. What each role allows: Roles in your organisation.
  5. Optionally set an expiry date for the invitation — "Expiry is optional."
  6. Click Send invite. You see "Invitation email sent." and the invitation appears in the list below.

The person receives an email and joins your organisation with the chosen role. As long as an invitation is unused, you can cancel it with Revoke; accepted invitations are marked Used.

Add an existing user directly

Under Members, enter the email address, pick a role, and click Add member. This adds an existing platform account to the organisation right away — no invitation email is sent, and the person has access immediately. It only works if that email already belongs to a deliberAIde account; if no account exists yet, you see a "not found" message. To bring in someone who has no account, use Invites instead.

Change someone's role

There is no control for editing a member's role in place — the role badge next to a name is not editable. To change someone's role, Remove them under Members (see below), then add them again with Add member and the new role. Their access is restored as soon as you re-add them.

Remove a member

Under Members, click Remove next to the person and confirm. They lose access to the organisation's projects and discussions. Two protections apply: you cannot remove yourself, and members with the Owner role cannot be removed by Admins.
